  •
  • Use a well-wrung, slightly damp microfibre mop with a cleaner specifically approved for your engineered wood floor’s finish.
  • Never wet mop or saturate the floor.
  • Never use a steam cleaner.

  • Always follow the care instructions for the specific lacquer, stain or sealer applied to your floor.

Everyday Protection

Protecting Your Engineered Hardwood

Small everyday habits go a long way in protecting the natural oak surface and finish of your engineered hardwood flooring, helping to prevent scratches, wear and moisture damage while preserving its natural beauty.

Entrance Mats

Trap dirt at entrances using dirt-trapping rugs to stop grit and stones from scratching the surface.

Felt Pads

Use felt pads under furniture and rubber castors on chairs to prevent scratching and indentations.

UV Protection

Use blinds or curtains to block UV rays, which can fade the photographic design layer over time.

Rearrange Periodically

Move furniture and rugs every couple of years to distribute foot traffic evenly across the floor.
